On windy days from land or when we simply don't have time to go to the beach, we like to have fun with wingskate. All it takes is a light breeze, a surfskate and a wingskate to have fun and take a little break from work. We have a nice spot near home, a cyclodrome in the middle of the fields, perfect for wingskating in both east and west winds. For some time now we have been using Clan's sails, a 3sqm and a 4sqm, to do wingskate. They are well-built wings, good materials, well reinforced in the most risky parts and which are very attractively priced. Of course, they are not just wingskate sails, being born to be used in the sea for wingfoil as well, but today we want to tell you how they are doing on land, because they are in our opinion a very good choice for those who are looking for inexpensive, but serious sails to have fun on the tarmac with a skate, as well as on the water.

Wing Clan Williwaw Glide - features

First impressions of the Willawaw wings are of a stable sail with a moderate pitch. The wind at our wingskate spot is always very gusty, but both wings defended themselves well.
The Willawaw 4 sq. m. wing has three handles. On first use the handles feel a little tight but it only takes a little for them to become more comfortable. In the right wind the wing feels stable and stiff enough. It has a good pull and starts very early, however under gusts it does not foil much, you need to adjust a little with your arms and if you are overpowered it does not feel as stiff.
The wing Willawaw 3mq has only two handles, but we never regretted the absence of the third middle handle. The 3mq is a size we really enjoyed skateboarding. Probably the most suitable for wingskate fun. The shot is moderate even under bursts, progressive and foils very easily. Such a small and compact size makes it ideal for skate use, on the road because it allows you to alternate the use of the wing with skate pumping and why not to simulate some nice pulled turns as well.
Conclusions
The Wing Willawaw Glide has been a nice surprise. It has a moderate pull and is very easy to use. Great reinforcements on the tips and a good handle setting allows you to handle the gust well and to tack if you need to.
We would recommend this wing without a doubt to anyone who is getting into the wing and is looking for material to get started at an affordable price, but that is not a waste of money, to be regretted after a month of use. Many people buy their first wing wing wing to have fun on land with a skate and start approaching the water with a sup, or perhaps to try it out in the snow. The Wing Willaws are suitable for all of these uses, but more importantly they will not disappoint once you move on to sea use with a board and foil.
The 3mq size is the one we had the most fun with. Versatile and with such a nice throw that it was perfect for both us adults and our 9-year-old son. In the view of using it later on the water, it is a perfect small wingfoil sail in high winds.
Choose the 4mq if the wind at your spot is always very light, if you are fairly heavy or new to skate and pumping
