The new Assault 2023 is Prolimit's low end freestyle / wave / freeride kitesurf harness.
The Prolimit Assoult harness is an ergonomic harness with a pre-curved 3D contoured shape featuring our new ALPHA bar with electro plated finish. The outer edges are lined with super soft lining and padded with dual density EVA to provide maximum comfort. The band is low and very compact: slightly higher on the back, low on the hips to offer support together with maximum freedom of movement.
The Prolimit Assault has more elasticity and a completely new internal and external construction. This construction offers a softer feel, more maneuverability and comfort when underway.

Prolimit Assault features
The Prolimit Assoult is a kitesurf harness classified as SOFTSHELL but able to offer excellent support in all conditions.
Modeled on the prolimit Vapor, the prolimit Assoult is much more compact and allows for easier movement, at the certain expense of less lumbar support. Its very small size and its profile adapt perfectly to the pelvis and the trapeze is difficult to climb.
The Prolimit Assoult is a light and compact harness that combines the rigidity of the lumbar support with a very soft and enveloping interior. The trapeze aesthetically looks very good and well finished down to the smallest detail.
The interior is in thermoformed EVA and has a shape designed to follow the hollow of the back. The edge is lined with soft fabric that allows you to use the harness even without lycra or wetsuit.
The neoprene band with velcro to close the harness has an anti-slip system to prevent the harness from rising.
The new ALPHA bar system consists of a soft rubber support to improve performance and prevent the harness from wearing excessively during use. Fast hooking/unhooking is guaranteed by the new system patented by prolimit ALPHA. A single plate in molded plastic with an easy and functional quick release/attachment system.
The only drawback is that it does not have the cable cutter supplied, like 99.9% of the trapezes in circulation by now.... Of course, it still has the space to house a cable cutter, which we always recommend having with you, because it will never be needed, but if it does. ..
The Prolimit Assoult harness: Worn
As you can see from the photo, there is a lot of difference with the old Prolimit Hank harness. The new prolimit Assault has a very small size!!!
The trapezoid adheres well to the body, does not rise and remains firmly in place. As you use it, the trapezoid tends to sag a little and widen slightly. For this reason, when in doubt between two sizes, we always recommend opting for the smaller one
Thanks to its medium stiffness and narrow band, it does not restrict movement and allows you to turn easily.

Even in the water the Prolimit Assoult harness is very comfortable. The traction on the back is not felt because the rigid material helps to distribute the traction.
Even in wave use it has proved to be a good product thanks to the possibility of rotating it on the pelvis.
Conclusions
Although I am a lover of high-end trapezes because I suffer from back pain, I must say that I was happy with the prolimit Assoult and my back was not affected much by the low lumbar band.
The new Alpha bar is very good, it gives even more stiffness to the harness. Even in my size XS it is very large and hugs the belly very well.
The quick release system works well, although it's not as quick to use if you tighten the harness so much.
A harness with medium stiffness, comfortable for multi-purpose use from freeride to freestyle to wave. Good lumbar support. We recommend it to anyone looking for a low-end harness that gives good freedom of movement at an honest price.
Great for those who travel a lot. In addition to its really small size, it is very light and dries quickly.
An advice. Watch out for the measure. We generally recommend 1 size smaller than the size indicated by Prolimit in the size chart.
I weigh 68kg, I'm 178cm tall and have a waistline of 78cm and I fit well with size XS.
