Baratti, Tuscany

Baratti is the beach of the homonymous gulf, splendid cradle of the Etruscan civilization.
A panoramic road runs along it for the entire length and in some sections is separated from it by a beautiful and dense pine forest.
To the north are some of the tourist facilities of the gulf.
On the opposite side of the gulf a small tourist port is active.
Located between Piombino San Vincenzo, ample parking at the center of the bay, ideal for surfing. Interesting historically and landscape even on days of flat calm.
Tip: visit the ancient village of Populonia overlooking the whole gulf.

How to get:
- From the South: Coming from the Aurelia highway, exit at Venturina and continue towards Piombino. In Fiorentina you will find a junction with directions: turn right to San Vincenzo, after about 5km turn left to Baratti.
- From the North: Coming from the Aurelia highway, exit at San Vincenzo, continue towards Piombino, after about 10 km there is the junction for Baratti and Populonia. Turn right.

Beach

The sand is rather large and its peculiar characteristic is that it assumes blue-silver reflections in some sections.
It appears as a small sandy gulf in the center and rocky at the ends.

Sea

ATTENTION: both in the center and on the sides of the gulf submerged rocks and at water level.
Wave: with NW perturbations.

Winds

Best mistral, west and north wind
