The Pod Mod is one of Channel Island's best-selling surfboards. A table that is inspired by its previous version, which almost 20 years ago contributed to revolutionize the shorboard length, but even shorter and wider. A table created to meet the needs of surfers looking for a little more volume forward, without sacrificing performance. The tail is even wider, to catch even the smallest waves, while the concave V makes the rail to rail transitions faster.
Personally I chose this surfboard in size 5'2 '' for a volume of 27 liters.
After several outings in different conditions I can say that the Pod Mod is a board that gives its best on a small wave, even a vertical one. This does not mean however that it is not possible to surf large waves, indeed. The Pod Mod also holds very well on measuring waves and runs really fast thanks to its length. The one in which instead sins is the pure speed on the wave that is felt when it is necessary to pass the softer sections.
In general it is a very fun surfboard on waves up to the head.
